Goha è un ragazzo ingenuo e ignorante che non conosce nulla della vita, un essere che non ragiona e non fa calcoli; sembra seguire la propria ombra invece di lavorare e di diventare un uomo. Nel quartiere abita un saggio ammirato e rispettato da tutti, Taj-El-Ouloum, che significa "Corona di scienza". Il saggio e il folle si ritrovano nello stesso sdegno per tutto ciò che è ragionevole.

Goha is a naïve and ignorant boy who knows nothing about life, a creature who does not think nor calculate; he seems to follow his own shadow rather than work and become a man. In the neighborhood lives a wise man, admired and respected by all, Taj-El-Ouloum, a name that means ‘crown of science.' The wise man and the fool find that they share the same contempt for everything rational.
